CRRC's (HKG:1766, SHA:601766) controlling shareholder, CRRC Group, plans to increase its stake by purchasing between 150 million yuan and 300 million yuan of A-shares over the next six months, according to a Monday Hong Kong bourse filing.
CRRC Group, which owns 51.45% of the company's issued share capital, intends to acquire the shares through the Shanghai Stock Exchange using its own and self-raised funds.
The purchases are scheduled to take place between July 20, 2026, and Jan. 19, 2027.
The increase in shareholding will not result in a change in the company's controlling shareholder or actual controller.
Hong Kong-listed shares of the firm were up nearly 4% in Monday midday trade.
