Corus Entertainment (CJR-B.TO) received approval from the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) for its proposed recapitalization to reduce existing debt and maintain secured lending facility and liquidity access.
Corus also received an order from the Ontario Superior Court of Justice to proceed with the recapitalization, the company said Thursday. The transaction is not expected to affect Corus' operations.
The recapitalization transaction is expected to close in the coming weeks, subject to closing conditions and the receipt of customary securities laws and stock exchange approvals.
