Controlling Shareholder Boosts Stake in China Communications Construction

China Communications Construction's (SHA:601800, HKG:1800) controlling shareholder, China Communications Construction Group, acquired an additional 54.6 million Hong Kong-listed shares in the company, according to a Wednesday Hong Kong bourse filing.

Shares of the infrastructure builder were down over 1% in Thursday afternoon trading.

The Hong Kong-listed shares, acquired between June 9, 2025, and June 9, 2026, represent around 0.3355% of the company's issued share capital.

Following completion, China Communications Construction Group holds nearly 9.73 billion shares in the company, including 9.37 billion China-listed shares and 352 million Hong Kong-listed shares. The shares represent roughly 59.7654% of the company's issued shares.
