Clean TeQ Water (ASX:CNQ) was awarded a front-end engineering design (FEED) and early works contract by Sunrise Energy Metals (ASX:SRL) for the scandium recovery circuit at the Syerston scandium project in New South Wales, according to a Friday Australian bourse filing.
Clean TeQ's scope comprises two of the packages that make up the project: a continuous resin-in-pulp ion exchange circuit, underpinned by moving bed ion exchange technology, and the downstream scandium refinery.
The contracted FEED scope is valued at around AU$2 million, delivered on a schedule-of-rates basis. It will also supply the long-lead deliverables required to protect the project's delivery schedule, carried at a provisional sum of around AU$3.4 million.
