Chow Tai Fook Jewellery (HKG:1929) recorded a 52% rise in attributable profit to a record high of HK$9 billion for the year ended March 31 from HK$5.92 billion a year prior, according to the company's annual report filed with the Hong Kong bourse Thursday.
Earnings per share climbed to HK$0.903 from HK$0.592 in the previous fiscal year.
Revenue increased 5.3% to HK$94.4 billion from HK$89.7 billion in the prior-year period.
The jewelry company attributed the higher profit to a rise in gross profit, revenue growth, and a boost in margin management.
The company proposed a final dividend of HK$0.45 per share for the year, payable Aug. 20 to shareholders of record as of Aug. 7, subject to shareholder approval.
