Chorus Aviation's (CHR.TO) second-quarter adjusted earnings rose to C$0.83 per share, from C$0.54 per share, in the prior-year period, the company said after market close on Tuesday.
Analysts polled by FactSet had forecast earnings of C$0.53 per share.
Operating revenue climbed 7.6% to C$349.4 million over the same period. Analysts polled by FactSet were expecting C$329.3 million.
Chorus said it sold four nine Dash 8-400s aircraft in the second quarter, resulting in a gain on sale of C$2.5 million.
The company declared a dividend of C$0.11 per share payable on Sept. 30, to shareholders of record at the close of business on Sept. 15.
Chorus shares closed up C$0.13 to C$24.73 on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
