China's surveyed urban unemployment rate fell to 5.1% in May, according to data from the National Bureau of Statistics on Tuesday.
The reading was lower than the consensus forecast of 5.2% tracked by Investing.com, and compared with the 5.2% rate recorded in the previous month.
The surveyed unemployment rate in 31 major cities stood at 5.1%, falling from 5.2% the prior month.
Meanwhile, the average working hours per employee in May were 48.2 hours per week, up marginally from 48 hours the previous month.
