China's broad M2 money supply grew 8.0% year over year to 356.71 trillion yuan as of the end of June, according to data from the People's Bank of China on Wednesday.
The growth rate was softer than the 8.6% expansion recorded in the previous month. It missed the consensus forecast of 8.5% tracked by Investing.com.
Meanwhile, narrow money supply (M1) rose 4.0% year over year to 118.48 trillion yuan.
