China's industrial output rose 4.1% year over year in April, slowing from a 5.7% growth seen in March, according to data from the National Bureau of Statistics released Monday.
Analysts polled by Reuters expected a 5.9% increase during the month.
Output in the mining sector jumped 3.8% year over year, while production in the manufacturing sector rose 4%, and that of the utilities sector climbed 5.3%.
