Private exporters purchased 472,000 metric tons of soybeans for delivery to China, the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Foreign Agricultural Service said Wednesday.
The amount is the largest since November 2025, Bloomberg reported separately the same day.
Of the total, 136,000 metric tons will be delivered during the 2025/2026 marketing year and 336,000 metric tons will be due for delivery during the 2026/2027 marketing year.
The USDA confirmation comes after Cofco booked at least five cargoes of soybeans for loading in September or October, according to a previous Bloomberg report, citing people familiar with the matter.
