Centurion (SGX:OU8) has agreed to buy a purpose-built worker accommodation asset in Pasir Gudang, Johor, Malaysia, comprising two adjoining leasehold parcels with 7,974 beds for 214.5 million ringgit.
The first parcel is already fully tenanted by employers in surrounding industrial estates, while the second has just been completed and will be leased progressively after the deal closes, subject to state approvals and due diligence.
The acquisition expands Centurion's Malaysian bed capacity by 22% to 43,980 beds, according to a Singapore bourse filing on Tuesday.
