Centerra Gold (CG.TO) on Thursday said it raised its stake in Azimut Exploration (AZM.V) to 12.67% from 9.84% through a C$2.4 million private placement.
The miner said it acquired 4.04-million shares priced at C$0.60 each in the placement.
Centerra acquired the shares for investment purposes, the company said Thursday. A May 2025 investor rights agreement entitles Centerra to participate in certain equity offerings of Azimut.
Azimut shares closed up C$0.03, or 4.8%, to C$0.65 Wednesday on the TSX Venture Exchange.
