Contemporary Amperex Technology (SHE:300750, HKG:3750), or CATL, issued the first tranche of its green bonds for the year, which amounts to 4 billion yuan, according to a Shenzhen bourse filing on Tuesday.
The battery maker's Shenzhen shares slipped 1% during Wednesday's morning trade.
The bond has a coupon rate of 1.49% and a term of up to five years, maturing Sept. 22, 2031. The issuer has the option to adjust the coupon rate and the investors' put option at the end of the third year.
Agricultural Bank of China (SHA:601288, HKG:1288) acted as the lead underwriter and bookrunner.
