Capricorn Energy Wins Approval to Consolidate Eight Egyptian Concession Agreements

Capricorn Energy (CNE.L) secured approval to consolidate eight of its existing Egyptian Western Desert concession agreements, where it holds a 50% participating interest with operator Cheiron Oil and Gas.

Following approval from Egypt's Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, the consolidated and amended concession agreement, which has taken effect, extends the concession life by up to 20 years, with a 10-year development term and two optional five-year extensions, according to a Tuesday filing. The agreement also updates the financial terms and merges existing concessions.

The new concession agreement was announced in May 2025.
