Canlan Ice Sports (ICE.TO) Thursday said its second-quarter loss widened to C$0.03 per share, from C$0.01 per share in the previous corresponding quarter. The company also announced a dividend increase.
Canlan, which operates recreation and entertainment facilities, said operating revenue increased 6% year over year, to C$24.9 million, mainly due to pricing and volume hikes in Canlan's adult and youth hockey leagues, tournaments, and food and beverage operations.
The board will pay a quarterly dividend of C$0.04 per share, an increase from the previous C$0.03 on Oct. 15, to shareholders of record on Sept. 29.
Canlan Ice shares were last seen up C$0.09 to C$4.40 on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
