Canadian National Railway (CNR.TO) reported the opening of the C$750 million CANXPORT logistics hub within the Port of Prince Rupert on British Columbia's Pacific coast.
Canadian National's investments in CANXPORT include expanding the Zanardi Rapids Bridge, increasing the rail corridor capacity and enhancing the port's intermodal ecosystem, the Prince Rupert Port Authority said Friday.
CANXPORT is operated by Ray-Mont Logistics and supported by a C$150 million loan from the Canada Infrastructure Bank, C$50 million in funding from Transport Canada's National Trade Corridors Fund, and C$25 million from the Stronger BC program.
CANXPORT is part of a C$3 billion expansion at the Port of Prince Rupert.
Canadian National's shares were last seen down C$0.33 to C$174.82 on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
