Oil prices were lower Thursday morning as Saudi Arabia moved some crude exports through the Strait of Hormuz, CNBC reported.
Saudi Arabia's pipeline to the Red Sea was damaged by drone attacks earlier this week.
West Texas Intermediate October crude oil futures, the US benchmark, slipped 1.9% to $100.49 per barrel. November Brent oil futures, the international benchmark, fell 3% to $102.92 a barrel.
Comex gold December futures rose 0.5% to $4,407.40 per ounces. The US Federal Reserve raised interest rates by 25 basis points Wednesday afternoon, the first time since July 22023.
In agricultural commodities, December wheat futures fell 1% to $7.24 per bushel, while canola futures for November edged up 0.1% to CA$827.60 per tonne.
