Calian Group (CGY.TO) is partnering with Ukrainian defense company SkyFall to advance drone training and operational readiness for Canada, the United Kingdom, NATO and allied forces, the company said on Wednesday.
The two parties will deliver drones-related training and education programs for the armed forces: SkyFall will contribute its technological and training capabilities and Calian offers its expertise in military training, simulation and readiness programs.
"Ukraine has demonstrated the speed at which unmanned systems, tactics and countermeasures can evolve in modern conflict," said Calian chief executive Patrick Houston.
"Learning directly from SkyFall's experience in Ukraine will strengthen the expertise of our instructors and help ensure military personnel are prepared for the realities of modern operations," Houston added.
Calian shares were last seen down CA$0.12, to CA$82.86, on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
