BuySell Technologies' (TYO:7685) group home-visit purchases jumped 61% year over year to 1.84 billion yen in August, according to a Tokyo bourse filing on Thursday.
A steady rise in the number of high-value items purchased drove the increase in purchases, the reuse services provider said.
The number of home visits increased 32% to 42,011, performing in line with the company's plan and avoiding seasonal decline due to accumulated strategic visit carry-overs and the acquisition of new appointments.
The company expects the number of visits to increase from September amid improved revisit rates ahead of the busy season in October and November, among other factors.
In-store purchases rose 40% to 2.87 billion yen, while the number of group stores totaled 563 in August, up nine from the previous month.
Shares of the company rose nearly 7% in recent trade.
