Bunker Hill Mining (BNKR.TO) on Friday said the U.S. District Court for the District of Idaho has ruled in favor of the company in litigation brought against it by Crescent Mine.
The court dismissed Crescent's federal Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act claims while preserving Bunker Hill's claim to recover Crescent's share of mine remediation costs.
The court also rejected Crescent's demand for Bunker Hill to drain the mine, ruling that any such remedial action falls within the exclusive authority of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
The ruling does not affect Bunker Hill's mine restart activities. The company is on track to produce the first batch of concentrate for sale by the end of June.
