Brookfield Renewable Partners Limited Partnership (BEP-UN.TO) and Brookfield Renewable Corporation (BEPC.TO) are converting into one publicly traded entity, Brookfield Renewable Partners (BEP).
All limited partnership units of Brookfield Renewable Partners, other than preferred units, will be exchanged on a one-for-one basis for newly issued shares of BEP. The conversion will improve trading liquidity and will be in-line with capital allocation trends toward indexable and ETF-eligible corporate securities, a statement said overnight Tuesday.
Brookfield Renewable expects the simplification to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2026.
"We are pleased to take this important step in the evolution of Brookfield Renewable," said Connor Teskey, chief executive officer. "By simplifying our corporate structure, we expect to enhance the accessibility of our securities to a broader range of investors, support increased index demand and provide a traditional corporate ownership structure. We believe this transaction will strengthen our position over the long term and create lasting value for our investors."
