Bravada Gold (BVA.V) began an approximately 2,300-meter drill program at its wholly owned Wind Mountain Gold Project in Nevada, it said Wednesday.
The drill program, which consists of two targets and 31 holes ranging from 7 m to 30 m in depth to test historic waste dumps, aims to fully convert them into resources. It also includes 16 holes ranging from 60 m to 210 m in depth, targeting resource expansion at the Wind and Breeze pits, Bravada Gold said in a news release.
The company expects drilling to be completed by the end of the third quarter.
It also recently completed the staking of 60 new claims west of the deposit, expanding Wind Mountain's land position by nearly 50% and increasing the project to 184 claims from 124 claims. This brings the total area to approximately 1,490 hectares, added Bravada.
The company's shares were last seen down C$0.03, or 3.6%, at C$0.80 on the TSX Venture Exchange.
