Boss Energy Accelerating 'One Plant, Three Deposits' Strategy at South Australia Uranium Project, Euroz Hartleys Says

By

Boss Energy (ASX:BOE) is accelerating the Jason's and Gould's Dam deposits under a "one plant, three deposits" hub strategy at the Honeymoon uranium project in South Australia, according to a Thursday note by Euroz Hartleys.

The firm aims to reach nameplate production of 2.5 million pounds per annum at an all-in sustaining cost of $45 per pound by the early 2030s. Indicative timelines have Jason's feeding the plant from early 2030 via a 13-kilometer twin trunkline and Gould's Dam from early 2031 via loaded resin trucked around 75 kilometers, with permitting and studies underway. Boss intends to remain under-contracted, selling forward on a rolling basis to utilities and intermediaries rather than into spot.

Scenario testing across multiple design variables selected spacing of 49 meters as the best balance of recovery, timing and development intensity, lifting modelled recovery to around 90% on around 46% fewer wells.

In the near term, water treatment sets the pace of wellfield development, with the debottlenecking of the existing water treatment plant expected by the June quarter of 2027 and a second plant targeted for completion in the March quarter of 2028.

The investment firm maintained its speculative buy rating and a price target of AU$1.80 per share.
