-- BMTC Group (GBT.TO) reported higher net earnings for the three-month period ended Jan. 31, 2026, despite a fall in revenue, said the company after markets closed on Friday.
Net earnings for the three-month period ended Jan. 31, 2026, was C$19.2 million compared to net earnings of $14.5 million in the corresponding period of 2025. Basic net earnings per share for the three-month period was $0.60 compared to $0.45 in the corresponding year-ago period.
For the three-month period ended Jan. 31, 2026, the company's revenue decreased to $144.9 million, compared to $152.4 million in the corresponding 2025 period, said the company and attributed the decrease in revenue mainly to a decline in commercial revenues from the Tanguay division.
"Management plans to continue its initiatives aimed at supporting the Company's growth and performance, as reflected in the results for the year ended January 31, 2026," said the company. "However, it remains cautious in light of the slowdown in sales momentum observed toward the end of the fiscal year."
