Birchtech Q2 Loss Widens to $0.11 Per Share

Birchtech (BCHT.TO) said Thursday after trade its second-quarter loss widened to $0.11 per share, from $0.08 per share, in the prior year period.

Analysts polled by FactSet had forecast a loss of $0.07 per share.

The company, which provides air and water purification technologies, said revenue advanced to $3.8 million from $3.3 million year over year, but missed the $4.3 million expected by analysts. The higher revenue was mainly due to increased air business demand driven by the mix of plants running, more extreme weather conditions, plus higher natural gas prices.

Birchtech shares closed up C$0.02, or 1%, to C$2.07 on the Toronto Stock Exchange.

CAE's Fiscal Q1 Adjusted Earnings Remain Unchanged; Revenue Rises; Fiscal 2027 Outlook Kept

CAE (CAE.TO) after trade Wednesday reported fiscal first-quarter adjusted earnings per share of C$0.26, unchanged from a year ago.Analysts polled by FactSet expected C$0.23.Revenue for the quarter ended June 30 rose to C$1.17 billion from C$1.10 billion a year earlier.Analysts polled by FactSet expected C$1.13 billion.The company said its fiscal 2027 outlook remains unchanged. It continues to expect low-single-digit percentage revenue growth and adjusted EPS of C$1.21 to C$1.28.
