Baylin Technologies' (BYL.TO) Advantech Wireless unit received purchase orders totaling over C$9 million for its Genesis C- and Ku-band Solid-State Power Amplifiers (SSPA's) ranging from 200W to 500W, it said in a statement on Thursday.
The amplifiers are used for satellite communications for ground station uplinks, broadcasting, and military use.
"Demand for our Genesis SSPAs continues to accelerate as commercial and defense customers invest in next-generation satellite communications infrastructure," said chief executive Leighton Carroll.
Shares of the company were last seen up C$0.025 to C$0.365 on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
