Aya Gold & Silver (AYA.TO) after trade Thursday reported second-quarter net income of $0.23 per share, up from $0.06 a year ago.
The company said the increase was due to stronger operating income, partly offset by a higher effective tax rate.
Analysts polled by FactSet expected earnings per share of $0.33.
Revenue for the quarter ended June 30 rose to $96.8 million from $38.6 million a year prior.
Analysts polled by FactSet expected $121 million.
The company said its 2026 operation outlook remains unchanged from the guidance disclosed in its March 31 news release.
The company's shares closed down C$1.65, 4.2%, to C$37.44 on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
