Aya Gold & Silver (AYA.TO) will be added to the VanEck Gold Miners ETF, effective at the close of trading on June 19, as part of the ETF's recent quarterly rebalance, the company said Tuesday.
The GDX index serves as a key benchmark for precious metals mining equities and includes many of the world's largest and most liquid publicly traded gold and silver mining companies, Aya said.
"We believe this inclusion will enhance the liquidity and visibility of our shares while increasing awareness among a broader global investor base. It is a testament to the quality of our assets, the dedication of our team, and the continued support of our shareholders as we execute on our strategy, creating long-term value," President and Chief Executive Officer Benoit La Salle said.
Aya owns the Zgounder silver mine and the Boumadine polymetallic project in Morocco.
