Australia's Monthly Total Credit Rises 0.6% Month-over-Month in July

Australia's total credit rose 0.6% month-over-month in July, following a 0.8% increase in June, data from the Reserve Bank of Australia showed on Monday.

Housing credit rose by 0.5%, after rising 0.6% the previous month, while personal credit rose 0.3%, following a 0.9% increase. Business credit rose 0.9%, after a 1.1% lift recorded in the previous month.

Broad money rose 0.3%, following a 0.9% increase in the previous month.

Total credit jumped 8.4% in the year ended July, compared with a 7.2% increase in the year ended July 2025.
