Atlanta Electricals Bags Order Worth INR2.85 Billion for Supply of Power Transformers; Shares Up 5%

Atlanta Electricals (NSE:ATLANTAELE, BOM:544527) has received an order worth 2.85 billion Indian rupees from the Punjab State Transmission Corporation for the supply of power transformers, according to a Wednesday filing with the Indian stock exchanges.

The company's shares were up 5% in early trade on Thursday.

The contract covers the supply of 23 units of 160 MVA, 220/66 kV power transformers along with nitrogen injection fire prevention and extinguishing systems (NIFPES) and optional spares.

Punjab State Transmission Corporation has been a customer of the company since 2018, and Atlanta has supplied around 200 transformers with an aggregate installed capacity of around 5,000 MVA across the state of Punjab in India.

Ennoconn (TPE:6414) unit Vecow approved a public tender offer to acquire common shares of Lex Computech, according to a Wednesday Taiwan Exchange filing.The investment is part of a financial investment strategy aimed at boosting long-term returns and strengthening cooperation between the companies.The offer price is NT$48 per share in cash, with Vecow depositing NT$240.0 million into a trust account managed by Mega Securities to fund the transaction.The tender offer is scheduled to run from June 4 to July 8.The completion of the offer remains subject to approval from Taiwan's Ministry of Economic Affairs' Investment Review Department before the tender offer expires.

Resources Global Development to Subscribe for SG$40 Million Worth of Shares in Coal Company; Shares Up 9%

Resources Global Development (SGX:V7R) plans to subscribe to its pro-rata entitlement of around 111.8 million shares in Indonesia-listed PT Singaraja Putra (IDX:SINI) for around SG$40 million, according to a Wednesday filing with the Singapore Exchange.Shares of the coal company were up over 9% in Thursday trading.The company currently has a 15.49% stake in Singaraja through its subsidiary, Batubara Development.The subscription exercise will enable Singaraja to raise the funds needed to acquire a majority stake in Kemilau Mulia Sakti and to repay existing debt.The company will now look to convene an extraordinary general meeting to secure shareholder approval.
