Astral Resources (ASX:AAR) said diamond drilling showed significant resource growth potential beneath the Theia deposit at the Mandilla gold project in Western Australia, according to a Tuesday Australian bourse filing.
It encountered hits of 52.6 meters at 1.48 grams per tonne grade of gold from 389.4 meters, 54 meters at 2.38 g/t grade of gold from 316 meters, as well as seven meters at 5.22 g/t grade of gold from 583 meters.
The drilling program was further increased from the original six drill holes for 3,000 meters to 12 holes for 7,500 meters.
Its shares fell 4% in recent trading on Tuesday.
