Astral Resources (ASX:AAR) said it identified high-grade gold mineralization during recent drilling at its Mandilla Gold Project near Kalgoorlie, Western Australia, according to a Thursday Australian bourse filing.
The results were up to 4 meters at 16.4 grams per tonne gold from 58 meters, including 1 meter at 61.3 grams per tonne gold from 58 meters.
The company said the results continue to validate the current geological and mineral resource model for the Theia development, comprising broad, consistent grade intervals within laterally continuous zones of quartz-sulphide veining that dip shallowly to the southwest, with the program ongoing and expected to continue through the remainder of the year.
