Astral Resources Hit Wide Mineral Zones at Western Australia Gold Project; Shares Jump 4%

Astral Resources (ASX:AAR) said the first hole of the ongoing nine-hole, 5,500-meter deep diamond drilling program, targeting extensions of the Theia deposit at the Mandilla gold project in Western Australia, encountered exceptional wide zones of mineralization, according to a Friday Australian bourse filing.

It intersected gold mineralization to a depth of 614.4 meters downhole and 210 meters below the current mineral resource estimate, with a total intersection of 358.23 meters at 1.03 grams per tonne grade of gold from 256.17 meters.

Its shares jumped 4% in recent trading on Friday.

Resolution Minerals Starts Drilling Campaign at Idaho Prospect; Shares Down 6%

Resolution Minerals (ASX:RML) started the drilling campaign for the year at the Golden Gate prospect, within the Horse Heaven project in Idaho, targeting tungsten and gold mineralization, according to a Friday filing with the Australian bourse.The program, which includes about 13,700 meters of diamond core drilling, is designed to define the scale and extent of gold mineralization at Golden Gate and Golden Gate South, and identify the extent of tungsten mineralization around previous mine workings and explore a broad tungsten anomaly, the filing said.Shares fell 6% in midday trade on Friday.

Marco Polo Marine Shares Rise as Fiscal H1 Profit Up 9%

Marco Polo Marine's (SGX:5LY) attributable profit to equity holders rose 9% to SG$11.6 million in the six months ended March 31 from SG$10.6 million a year earlier, according to a Friday filing with the Singapore Exchange.Earnings per share in the fiscal first half came in at SG$0.0031, compared with SG$0.0028 in the year-ago period.Revenue surged 40% year over year to SG$74 million from SG$52.7 million, backed by strong growth across ship chartering and repair operations.Shares of the ship chartering and repair company were up over 3% in Friday trading.
