Askul (TYO:2678) said its non-consolidated net sales for August declined 5.7% year-on-year, owing to a 16.9% plunge in the non-consolidated net sales at its shopping app Lohaco, according to a Friday filing on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
Sales in the mainstay Askul business decreased by 4.4%, while the number of customers fell by 5.2% during the period from the same period last year.
Shares of Askul rose nearly 1% at market close.
