Aroa Biosurgery Says Study Interim Results Show Low Infection Rates, No Adverse Events Related to Myriad Products

Aroa Biosurgery (ASX:ARX) interim results from its study, which included 411 patients enrolled in the MASTRR Registry across 10 US centers and representing 474 soft tissue defects, reported low infection rates and no adverse events related to its Myriad products, according to a Friday Australian bourse filing.

The ongoing prospective observational study is evaluating the real-world safety and performance of the Myriad Matrix and Myriad Morcells products across a range of complex soft tissue reconstruction procedures. The interim results were published in Advances in Therapy.

Deep tissue infection occurred in only 0.7% of patients and superficial infection in 2.9%, according to the results. No infections were attributed to Myriad products, over a median follow-up period of 27 weeks. Across the 474 defects, the median number of Myriad product applications was one.

Over 550 patients have been enrolled, and the registry is approved to enrol up to 800 patients across 15 sites in the US.

Its shares rose 1% in recent trading on Friday.
