Arclands' Store Sales Rise 15% in May

Arclands (TYO:9842) and its consolidated subsidiary, Arcland Service, reported that net sales across all stores jumped over 15% on year in May, according to a Tokyo bourse filing on Friday.

At its existing stores, net sales rose nearly 11%, customer traffic grew 4.7% and average customer spending increased 5.9%.

In the food service business, specifically for Katsuya, May net sales were up 0.9% year-on-year.

At existing stores, Katsuya's net sales fell 4.8%, while customer count dropped 8.6% but average spending rose 4.2%.

Arclands reduced its store count to 716 during the month.
