ANZ Group Holdings' (ASX:ANZ, NZE:ANZ) value of new home loan applications fell 12% between the Australian federal budget announcement in May and the end of July, according to a Thursday filing with the Australian bourse.
The bank said its mortgage application value declined 5% in the fiscal third quarter from the linked three-month period, per the filing.
Both readings exclude the impact of the Australian government's 5% deposit scheme.
