Anfield Energy (AEC.V) has expanded its property holdings for the JD-5 and Slick Rock projects in Colorado after leasing two additional patented mining claims in the area, the uranium and vanadium development company said Thursday.
Anfield said its subsidiary Highbury Resources entered into a mining lease agreement with Gold Eagle Mining for the Slick Rock and Paradox D claims.
Both claims will be incorporated into the company's upcoming mine design and mine permitting activities for its two key projects, the company said.
As consideration for the lease, Highbury agreed to pay all annual property taxes assessed against the Slick Rock claim and maintain comprehensive general liability insurance.
For the Paradox D claim, Highbury secured non-exclusive rights to use the surface for parking, staging, temporary storage, and other ancillary mining support activities, Anfield said.
Anfield said the lease did not include any royalties, rents, or other production-based payments.
