ANA (TYO:9202) said that it has invested in the biotechnology company AlgaleX through its 8 billion yen venture fund, ANA Future Frontier Fund, according to a Friday release.
The Japan-based airline holding company said AlgaleX develops edible algae and operates a BioFarm business through a proprietary AI-powered cultivation control technology, Touji-24.
The new funding will support AlgaleX in building a sustainable food production ecosystem.
