Amentum (AMTM) will provide cybersecurity engineering services to digitize and protect Scotland's energy grid, following an award by Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks Transmission, it said on Tuesday.
Amentum, an advanced engineering and technology solutions provider, will also support renewable energy integration under three-year agreements, while helping protect critical assets and scale digital capability.
SSEN Transmission has been engaged with the company since 2022 for a security architecture work. It owns and operates a high-voltage electricity transmission system for the north of Scotland, according to its website.
The deal expands Amentum's presence in the UK, where it supports various projects, including the new Hinkley Point C and Sizewell C facilities, as well as existing nuclear power stations.
