AltaGas (ALA.TO) on Tuesday said it is appointing Corine Bushfield as president of the company's utilities division, effective July 1.
Bushfield, who joined AltaGas in 2016 and is currently the company's chief administrative officer. She assumes the role from Donald Jenkins, who is stepping down as executive vice president of the company and president of Washington Gas to accept a role at another organization.
AltaGas's utilities division includes Washington Gas and SEMCO, which together serve 16-million customers in three states and Washington D.C.
The company has also promoted William Weekley to chief operating officer, utilities, and president of Washington Gas, from his current role as senior vice president of utilities at Washington Gas.
The company's shares were last seen up C$0.24 to C$54.09 on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
