Alphabet (GOOG, GOOGL) subsidiary Waymo said Wednesday it is planning to soon begin full autonomous operations in the cities of Denver, Las Vegas, San Diego, and Tampa.
The company is also starting to drive its latest Hyundai IONIQ5 vehicle autonomously under a specialist's supervision, according to a statement.
The initial rollout of rider-only operations will be for employees and will eventually be made available to the public, the self-driving technology company said.
