Alphabet Debuts Gemini 3.8 Live With Real-Time Live Avatar

Alphabet's (GOOG, GOOGL) Google introduced Gemini 3.8 Live with Live Avatar, bringing real-time visual presence to its native live dialogue models.

By combining near real-time video generation with speech, the Live Avatar feature "creates an experience that listens, sees, and speaks with a dynamic visual persona," the company said Thursday in a blog post.

Live Avatar is backed by Gemini's advanced reasoning, and output generated by Google's AI products is watermarked with SynthID to ensure AI-generated content remains detectable, the company said.
