Alibaba Group's (HKG:9988) unit Alibaba Cloud launched its fifth data center in Japan on Thursday, according to a same-day release by the unit.
With the center, the cloud-computing aims to help Japanese consumers meet their advanced cloud and AI service needs across multiple key niches, including retail, gaming, entertainment, and manufacturing.
The center will provide services including elastic computing, storage, containerization, networking, security, databases, and advanced developer tools.
