Alaska Silver (WAM.V) on Thursday said it appointed Aaron Schutt as its Chief Executive, effective Oct. 1, succeeding co-founder of the company Christopher Marrs, who will resign as President and CEO, effective as of Oct. 1, it said on Thursday.
Marrs has been appointed Executive Chair of the company's board, effective immediately, and will continue in that role following the transition to maintain continuity and provide technical advice, it said.
Schutt, who was the chief executive of Doyon Limited until his retirement on June 1, 2026, was appointed to Alaska Silver's board of directors in May.
Shares of the company were last seen up $0.01 to $0.65 on the TSX Venture Exchange.
