Africa Energy Provides Update on Block 11B/12B Gas Field Development

Africa Energy (AFE.V) provided an update on its planned gas field development within Block 11B/12B offshore South Africa, the company said Tuesday.

Africa Energy has submitted a new environmental authorization application for proposed field development and associated production activities within Block 11B/12B, replacing a previously submitted environmental authorization application for a proposed non-intrusive survey campaign.

As part of the new application, the company has issued a draft scoping report for public review and comment, including two optional full-field development scenarios. A final scoping report will be submitted to the Petroleum Agency of South Africa following the public consultation process.

The process is part of Africa Energy's efforts to obtain Production Right to develop Block 11B/12B.
