AES (AES) said late Thursday it has secured a Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States approval for its pending merger with Horizon Parent and Horizon Merger Sub.
The regulatory approval satisfies a closing requirement for the transaction, which remains subject to further regulatory authorizations and customary closing conditions, the company said.
Upon completion, investment vehicles affiliated with Global Infrastructure Management, the EQT Infrastructure VI fund, along with other investors, will jointly own the business, AES said.
