Aegis Critical Energy Defense (QESS.CN) is expanding its North American commercial platform and rolled out two quantum-safe battery energy-storage systems, which are built around UL 9540 and UL 9540A-certified system architectures, the company said Wednesday.
The company has also taken a minority stake in Malahat Energy Systems, an Indigenous business majority owned by the Malahat Nation in British Columbia. The stake will allow the two companies to pursue critical infrastructure projects where Indigenous participation is recognized or prioritized.
"Earlier this year we introduced a commercialization strategy focused on building the operational foundation for our business," said Ramtin Rasoulinezhad, chief executive officer. "This update reflects progress across several areas, including expanding our commercial product portfolio, advancing supplier registrations through Malahat Energy Systems, and continuing the integration of quantum-safe cybersecurity into our battery energy storage systems."
Aegis Critical Energy shares were last seen down C$0.01 to C$0.35 on the Canadian Securities Exchange.
