Adisyn (ASX:AI1) said it demonstrated for the first time the ability to deposit low-temperature graphene on a full-scale industrial 200-millimeter (mm) semiconductor wafer, according to a Wednesday filing with the Australian bourse.
The achievement represents a "major technical milestone" that will help scale the company's low-temperature graphene deposition technology platform, per the filing.
The company said it achieved the milestone "significantly ahead" of its internal development expectations.
Early pathfinder results show the potential to scale to the 300mm wafer formats used in the most advanced semiconductor fabs, the company added.
Adisyn shares surged 25% in recent Wednesday trade.
