Philippine energy company Acen said Tuesday that Q1 2026 renewable energy output rose 32% year on year, driven by stronger contributions from its operations in Australia and Laos, as well as the resumption of wind operations in Ilocos Norte, the Philippines.
The company said renewable energy generation reached 2,230 gigawatt-hours during the January-to-March period.
Revenue from electricity sales increased 42% to 10.74 billion Philippine pesos ($187.6 million) in the first quarter of 2026, from 7.55 billion pesos a year earlier.
Acen said the cost of purchased power rose 10% to 4.89 billion pesos in the quarter, compared with 4.43 billion pesos in the same period last year.
